The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed about the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The support position made for intervention activities a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit sassa status check to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
